Hincapie Sportswear has been involved in every aspect of the sport from its very inception, and sponsoring athletes and teams if part of that involvement. We hold ourselves to the highest quality standards in everything we do, so we value character and integrity almost as much as race results in our chosen partners. We believe that the future of our sport rests on the shoulders of the leaders and mentors that help develop and cultivate a passion for cycling in new participants, particularly juniors. George and Rich Hincapie are both products of junior cycling programs, and they understand what is possible when young athletes receive support. We provide a full range of support from top professionals to high school clubs, and we’re very proud to be involved with the following teams, clubs and athletes.

BMC Racing Team

Hincapie Sportswear is proud to be the official apparel supplier to the BMC Racing Team. In addition to racing and training in the Hincapie Velocity custom cycling clothing, the team will also be wearing Hincapie casual clothing and accessories including Hincapie Premium Denim, Hincapie SkinDefense SPF 30+ Sunscreen and Hincapie Merino Wool products. Under the direction of John LeLangue and his capable staff, the team is sure to gain the attention of organizers of Grand Tour and one-day classics this season. The American-Swiss BMC Racing Team will combine proven world-class talent with promising young potentials to leave their mark on the best races around the world. This top-level competition in the most extreme racing conditions will help Hincapie Sportswear further refine its industry-leading products and designs.

George Hincapie

George Hincapie is one of the most recognized professional riders in the world, with numerous world championships, national championships and professional victories to his credit. He’s won a stage in the Tour de France and he’s the only American cyclist to represent the USA in 5 straight Olympic Games. Many know George as Lance Armstrong’s loyal teammate who helped him win 7 Tours de France, and he’s the only person to have ridden on 8 Tour de France winning teams. George will race the 2010 season for the BMC Racing Team in the coveted stars and stripes jersey, after winning his 3rd USA Professional Road Race Championship in 2009. Hincapie Sportswear is a proud sponsor of the BMC Racing Team for 2010, so George will be racing and training in custom kits made by his own company for the first time in his storied career. As one of the most experienced and talented riders on his new team, George will play a key role in helping his promising young teammates achieve their potential this season. Cadel Evans

Current World Champion, Cadel is one of the top stage racers in the world favored by many to win races like the Tour de France and the Vuelta A Espana. He’s bringing his World Champion rainbow stripes and considerable stage race prowess to his new BMC Racing Team in 2010. Hincapie Sportswear is the official apparel supplier for the BMC Racing Team, and Cadel is confident that Hincapie Sportswear will help keep him comfortable and competitive this season. He will play a significant role in helping the team gain invitations to some of the world’s most prestigious races. Look for Cadel and his BMC Teammates to score numerous successes this season. Hincapie Development Team

George and Rich Hincapie created the Hincapie Development Team to give back to the sport they love and to help provide key opportunities for some of the best and brightest young cyclists in the southeast. The goal of the Hincapie Development Team is to further opportunities for U23/Junior riders to graduate to the Pro/Elite level of the sport. Junior team riders are paired with elite racing mentors who provide guidance in every aspect of the sport, including training techniques, racing strategy, nutrition and sports psychology. The Hincapie Development Team, which is based out of Greenville, S.C., will participate in many regional and national events across the entire country this year. BMC Racing Team member, George Hincapie is actively involved in the team and the development of its riders. To date, the team has been very successful at achieving their vision and several team members have graduated to larger professional and amateur programs.

Kenda Pro Cycling presented by GearGrinder

KENDA Pro Cycling p/b GEARGRINDER (formerly Kenda Pro Cycling p/b Spinergy) is a UCI professional continental team that is dedicated to the successful development of professional bicycle racing in the USA. Led by 9-time Tour de France finisher, Frankie Andreu, the team features a strong roster of mainly American riders that are supported by American staff members. The agreement with Hincapie Sportswear is deeper than premium cycling apparel and accessories. The Hincapie U23 Development team is now a feeder team for the KENDA Pro Cycling p/b GEARGRINDER team. Hincapie development riders will have numerous opportunities to compete in larger events alongside the more experienced KENDA Pro riders. This relationship should prove valuable for both teams throughout the season and into the future.

Amgen-Giant Elite Masters Racing Team

Amgen-Giant Elite Masters Racing Team

Primarily made up of employees of Amgen, Inc. and Giant Bicycle, the AGM team is comprised of hard working family men that love to ride and race, but this 21-man squad rides for a greater cause than top-place finishes. They also serve as mentors for their larger club Amgen Cycling Team, and raise money and awareness of the serious illnesses that Amgen, Inc. helps to research. Hincapie Sportswear has partnered with Amgen several times to produce the kits for the Masters team, Cycling Club, as well as jerseys for their Breakaway from Cancer events.

Amgen Cycling Club

Amgen Cycling is currently one of the largest cycling clubs in California as well as one of the largest cycling clubs in the United States. Within the last few years, Amgen Cycling has expanded to include chapters in Colorado, Rhode Island, Washington State, San Francisco, Puerto Rico, Massachusetts, Europe and Australia. Amgen Cycling exists primarily on two levels, a recreational club and a racing team. The club participates in all styles of bicycle sport, including road, mountain, track, and cyclocross.

Giant Mountain Bike Team

Giant Mountain Bike Team

The Giant Mountain Bike team is made up of the best riders in Super D, Downhill, XC, Short Track, and Dual Slalom. The team competes nationally at the elite level led by riders such as Olympian and current US National Short Track Champion Adam Craig and former Australian Champion Jared Rando. 2010 marks the second year the team will compete in Hincapie custom cycling clothing.

Carolina Subaru-Gary Fisher Elite Team Presented by Hincapie Sportswear

The 2010 Carolina Subaru-Gary Fisher Elite Team pb Hincapie Sportswear is comprised of some of the fastest and most experienced racers in the southeast. The team boasts several multi-time state and national champions at the elite and masters levels. In 2010, the team will focus on road racing and Cyclocross events in the southeast as well as several national NRC events, including the Elite, Masters and U23 National Championships. Hincapie Sportswear has been the team’s custom cycling clothing and accessories supplier since 2002.

Team Bici vida

Team Bici Vida

The Allpress Espresso-backed Team Bici Vida is a New Zealand Pro Continental Team that was founded by Olympic and professional America’s Cup sailor, Carl Williams. The team focuses on developing cycling talent domestically, and they have been very successful at achieving some of their racing goals. In addition to dominating many national races this season, the team recently celebrated the crowning of Tom Findlay as the New Zealand U23 National Road Race Champion. Long term, the team hopes to help build a greater awareness and knowledge of New Zealand cyclists and cycling in general. The team has also played an important role in introducing Hincapie Sportswear apparel to the New Zealand market. Bici Vida relies on Hincapie Velocity custom cycling clothing and accessories to race and train on the elite level.
